IRACON & BJD CONVENTION 27 - 30 NOV. 2008
SPONSORSHIP: AN APPEAL FOR A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY |
Dear Friends,
Let me acknowledge my gratitude to you for considering this appeal.
And I sincerely hope that you would be one of our invaluable sponsors.
Such a mega meet cannot possibly be successful without your very thoughtful
and useful contribution.
It is indeed a great honor for Pune to host the 8th BJD World Network
Meet (28 Nov-01 Dec 08) for India. For the first time, orthopedic
surgeons and rheumatologist will share a national platform during
the concurrent maiden BJD India convention (29-30 Nov 08). No less
is the opportunity to also host the prestigious annual meeting (26-30
Nov 08) of the Indian Rheumatology Association in Pune. These gala
events are likely to attract a large number of colleagues. Over 65
countries have confirmed to send 110 delegates (several World class
experts) under the auspices of BJD. A further 35 internationally renowned
rheumatologists have confirmed their attendance. But above all, this
is a great opportunity for people with an interest in the bone and
joint domain to get together. As per the convention, BJD World Network
will host a 2 day meeting on patient issues and advocacy which will
be attended by over 60 patient representatives. But these meetings
can not be complete without your proactive role, both in its organization
and scientific deliberations. You are requested to visit the conference
websites (www.rheumatologyindia.org,
www.bjdindia.org
and www.puneiracon2008.org
) for details.
However, I want to assure you on certain important aspects. The Pune
meetings will shun extravaganza and observe modesty with an appealing
finesse. While showcasing science with high professional standards,
the meetings will endeavor to reflect the Indian scenario, ethos and
socioeconomics. We will not be found wanting in ethics and professional
morality. At the same time, your contribution, interest and relevance
will be considered while planning the scientific program and trade
exhibition. There will be adequate time for the keen delegate to visit
the stalls. We hope to encourage you to convert your exhibits into
a proactive educational session. In addition, some of you may seek
additional space to welcome visitors in a befitting manner. I will
personally not leave any stone unturned to ensure fairness and transparency
in our dealings with our sponsors. The Pune meetings are also being
modeled to cater to everyone's taste within the framework of our science
and ethics. They should be beneficial to all. In fact, I hope that
Pune will provide a model for future meetings.
Please consider this appeal and give us the privilege of your sponsorship.
You are most welcome to interact with me on the subject. The organization
committee, in its wisdom and experience, has finalized this trade
brochure with its various types and classes of sponsor participation.
You will notice that certain sponsorships (e.g. registration, identity
badge, lecture halls, e-timer, congress bag, etc) are not being offered
because I believe that several of these belong to all and should be
centrally funded (and acknowledged to all sponsors). Even, my first
announcements and brochures have been centrally funded and distributed.
Finally, I will ensure, that all the sponsors are acknowledged in
an appropriate and sincere manner.
Irrespective of the sponsorship amount, some proposals will be considered
favorably because of their outstanding merit and general appeal towards
the objectives of the meetings.
Trade exhibition will run from 27 (AN) to 30 (AN) Nov. 2008.
I need your written confirmation latest by 15 June 08, and 50% of
the sponsorship amount paid by 30 June 08. Please book early to avail
choices and options. Subject to availability, there shall be a 10%
and 25% increment across the board for any sponsorship beyond 30 June
and 31 Aug 08 respectively. I thank you in anticipation of your invaluable
sponsorship.
With best wishes and regards,
Arvind Chopra, MD Organizing Secretary
